Korab Idrizi commits to Rutgers

Rutgers just landed a New Jersey commit as Bergen Catholic tight end Korab Idrizi offered up his verbal pledge to the coaching staff while on a weekend official visit. Idrizi spoke with Scarlet Nation about his commitment and mentioned what led him to become a Scarlet Knight.

“I just committed. Everything has gone absolutely amazing on this visit,” Idrizi said.

The weekend included a little bit of everything for Idrizi and his fellow recruits.

“They had campus tours, they were feeding us like kings, position meetings and all that stuff,” Idrizi said.

Idrizi mentioned how his relationship with head coach Chris Ash and his fellow visitors helped solidify his commitment.

“Me and the other recruits are getting along really well and we're just having fun. The facilities are out or this world and it seems like coach Ash is really providing the players with everything and more to succeed. It seems like he has a blueprint set up and all you have to do is follow it.”

It turns out that Ash was not the only coach who made an impression on Idrizi during the weekend visit.

“I absolutely love the coaching staff as well," Idrizi said. "They sat down and showed me how I'd be included in the offense and it's just going to be fun to play tight end in this offense.”
